Why this is hard
The system is hard. That's not your fault.
Long waits. Confusing forms. Doors that should be open but aren't. The barriers are real, and they belong to the system, not your child.
Most children's needs should be met by their school, through SEN Support and the graduated approach: assess, plan, do, review. Your child does not need a diagnosis before that support starts. When schools get this right early, families don't have to fight.
